Microtex Energy Pvt. Limited was established in 1969. It’s a closely held company. The company is engaged in the manufacture of batteries and battery components like PVC separators. The company is a major supplier of separators to the domestic manufacturers of batteries. The company has a well established distribution network of dealers and distributors throughout the country for its products.

Microtex caters to the needs of both the automotive and industrial battery manufacturers, reconditioners and trade throughout the country. Microtex separators are used in traction batteries, stationary cells and automotive batteries.

Microtex has introduced its traction batteries for forklifts and Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries for telecommunication and UPS application.

The manufacturing unit of Microtex is situated in Bangalore, India.

The Microtex Energy Pvt. Ltd., is an ISO 9001: 2008 certified company. The company has also received the ISO 14000 certification in March 2008. The Company has implemented Information Security Management System in its scope and also an ISO 27001:2005 certified company.

Mr. A. Govindan, a first generation entrepreneur promoted the company. Mr. Govindan pioneered the manufacture and usage of PVC separators in India, when the industry was using the inefficient and technically outdated wooden/rubber separators. Mr. Govindan has to his credit several inventions and is highly regarded in the battery industry.

In recognition of his contributions, he has received various awards including the prestigious Udyog Patra from the President of India.
